Escalator Advertising Limited (EAL) is a New Zealand public company and the parent company of ESCASITE.
Independent research showed that there was great potential in the concept of utilizing escalator steps as an advertising medium, particularly if the impact and dynamism of the moving staircase itself could be maximised.
EAL developed a globally patented method of converting escalator steps to enable them to display highly visible messages and the idea for ESCASITE was conceived. EAL now has registered patents over the product in more than 50 countries.
Pilot ESCASITE’s were first installed in New Zealand in Auckland and Wellington and subsequently trial locations were established in Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Washington, Atlanta, Seattle, San Francisco, Oakland, Toronto and in Shanghai.
